Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born at Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder gave her the name of her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father had an ethnically Jewish background. Uria Ryder is her younger brother. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are the half siblings of Ryder. Ryder's parents relocated her and her siblings to Mendocino County California when Ryder reached seven.
